Cooling lubricants are regularly tested for nitrite as it is an undesirable by-product which allows the
formation of carcinogenic compounds. Nitrites can also be harmful to infants and aquatic life when present in water.
Simple to test, just immerse the strip head in the liquid for 2 seconds, remove and shake off excess fluid,
then compare against the colour chart within 30 seconds.
The range for the test is 0, 0.5, 1, 5, 10 and 25 mg/L (ppm)
